Roles in Leading Industry Bodies: He has had the privilege of serving in leadership positions across multiple bodies and associations connected to MSMEs, the printing industry, traders, and the Bureau of Indian Standards. Such opportunities are considered rare and highlight his stature as a quality, experienced, and humble leader. His broad exposure to representing and leading diverse industries and trades has been instrumental in shaping him into a dynamic personality, capable of addressing the needs of various sectors.

Demonstrated Crisis Handling Abilities: Harjinder Singh's aptitude for managing challenging situations has been proven on several occasions. Notably, in June 2013, he played a key role during the natural disaster in Uttarakhand, successfully navigating the complexities of the crisis. Again, in August 2017, when Hurricane Irma—one of the deadliest cyclones in the United States—struck Florida, he single-handedly coordinated the evacuation of all Indian delegates in Orlando. These experiences showcase his decisiveness and commitment to the welfare of those he leads.

His objective is to establish a dynamic and efficient support system for MSMEs, with the goal of enhancing their overall health to generate sufficient employment opportunities and deliver quality jobs for the nation's youth. Strengthening the MSME sector is also expected to have a positive impact on the Indian economy, leading to increased spending power among MSMEs and subsequently boosting national consumption.

Additionally, he is actively engaged in compiling critical data for the advancement of printing education and skill development. Success in this endeavor could open new career pathways for young people, as the printing industry—despite significant modernization and automation—remains highly labor-intensive. This initiative will further contribute to improving the overall condition of the printing sector.

Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)

Sectional Committee Member (2016 - Present): MED25 & CHD14

CHD-14: Committee for developing standards for printing inks, including new food-safe printing standards (2023) and health/safety standards for toys, stationery, and children's schoolbooks.

MED-25: Committee for standards on printing machines, pre-press, and post-press machines. As Convenor, led preparation of three new standards including IS 11610:2022 for rubber rollers and IS 12619:2022 (safety code for printing industry).

State Government Activities

Vice Chairman - Industrial Development Committee: Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industries of U.P.

Investor Summit Committee: Part of team that secured investments worth ₹10,000 Crore for Uttar Pradesh.

Organising Chairman: Faculty of Lucknow University for "START UP" programme training.

Gurdwara Sri Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust

Role: Responsible for preparing comprehensive roadmap for E-management of domestic and international donations.

Achievements:

• Developed customized software for donation management with integrated payment gateways
• Created FCRA-compliant system for international contributions
• Established computer facilities at Gurdwara Sri Hemkunt Sahib (15,220 feet altitude)
• Overcame high-altitude and adverse weather challenges for technology implementation
• Centralized server system at trust's head office in Kanpur
